Campion History

Campion Production has been under constant development since its birth in 1974, and is today one of the europes leading manufacturers of awningframes.

It all started in a freshly made company with the name “Nutiden” which focused on the manufacturing of stablequipment for farms which at this point was a growing sector. The company lived in Ejby on Funen. They quicly discovered that processed metal tubes had many possible functions, and soon they manufactured frames for awnings. This niche production evolved rapidly, and the caravanning industry showed great demand for the products.

The great demand gave the start to the company CAMPION Production Aps. The new company were to dedicate to the production of frames for awnings. Very soon there was not ample space in Hedensted and descicions were made to move to a new factory in Vejle.

Trough a flexible and tight cooperation between Campion Productions and its customers around Europe, the idea of a lightweight awning frame evolved. Campion was quick to react and this lead to the development of Campions Fibreglass frame. The Fibreglass frame contains some unique caracterisitics and has made its way to be the market leader. Campion Production has also a large assortment series of accessories, which is closely related to the frame manufacturing. Products like, veranda poles, extra roof- and support poles, furthermore, pegs, rubberstraps, frametensioners (Herkules) etc.

The production area was doubled in 2001, and today we have a modern factory, which is ampliably equipped to live up the growing demands of cooperation and flexible solutions of the caravanning industry.
